…as I travel – listening for guidance, opening to Spirit and infinite possibilities, facing growing edges, seeing this beautiful world, meeting new friends, deepening trust in Spirit and a benevolent universe and learning that I can trust the wisdom of my heart’s desire.
Following the Call
In 1987, God said, “Go where I send you.”
Six months later, I found myself picked up from my Louisiana home and set down in Porter, Texas, a northeast Houston, Texas suburb, with a new apartment and a new job. I soon, also, had a new church, a new husband, a new home and a wonderful step-family.
I learned that when you go where God sends you, things can turn out quite nicely.
Meet the Mountain
In the spring of 2013, a year after my husband, J.C.’s, death, I was called to sit on a mountain in Virginia.
I loaded the car and set off on what was to become a ten-week journey. I stayed in homes on five glorious mountain tops. I was…
- nurtured by family and friends,
- learned a new healing modality,
- visited Oneness Blessing gatherings,
- travelled with a childhood friend,
- attended meaningful family events, including my 70th birthday celebration.
I learned that on the open-road, in the beauty of nature, I can hear guidance well. I learned that I can live well with what I can carry in my car.
The Heart of Spirit
On April 1, 2014, after selling our home and belongings, I started out on this grand open-ended adventure to see if I could open my heart, trust in the unknown and learn how to live peacefully in the present moment.
I’m learning, that with Divine assistance, it is possible to release deep fears, limiting beliefs about my worthiness, my value, even about my ability to love. I’m learning that I can move out into the unknown, knowing that I’m fully guided and supported. I’m learning that when I am triggered by fear or anger or the behavior of another person, it is just an opportunity to look within to see what needs healing.
A big part of this journey has been preparation to publish my first picture book, Corey Finds His Peaceful Heart, which shares the beautiful HeartMath Shift and Shine Technique® for young children. Soon my journey will joyfully include story time at libraries, schools and child care centers.
I believe we are each on a personal journey from fear to love. If you would like to join me on my adventure, you can check in to see where I am or subscribe to receive an e-mail each time I post a story.
I would joyfully welcome an opportunity to connect with you via the blog or in person somewhere along the way.
Love and blessings on your journey.
