Magic exists. Who can doubt it, when there are rainbows and wildflowers, the music of the wind and the silence of the stars? Anyone who has loved has been touched by magic. It is such a simple and such an extraordinary part of the lives we live. Nora Roberts, Charmed
Sedona is magic. A drive to town through the red rocks still takes my breath away. The geography is truly awe inspiring. My visit here has been filled with magic, serendipities, and synchronicities as well as quiet, ordinary days. The energy is beautiful and the people are beautiful.
Let me st the scene for you. My studio with kitchen is in only house situated on the bluff above Red Rock Crossing. The sliding glass doors look out to the towering Cathedral Rock on the other side of Oak Creek.
January was cold with some light snow. In early February the blue days grew warm enough to enjoy being outdoors. I especially enjoyed my walks along the creek energy vortex in neighboring Crescent Moon Ranch Park, where I stopped to visit two ancient “tree friends.”
Carpets of violets were the first sign that spring was on the way. Soon fruit trees blooming in town and now tender spring leaves contrasted against the red rocks.
Red Rock Crossing is a popular spot for locals and visitors, so I have experienced unfolding entertainment right outside my sliding glass doors. I’ve witnessed feeding blue herons, hot air balloons on their silent sunrise tours, simple weddings, prom portraits, family picnics, native flute players, cyclists fording the creek carrying their bikes, children playing in the shallows, meditators, sunbathers, sunset photographers…and then the stillness descends and I have it all to myself for a while.
I arrived in time to attend Sarah McLean’s New Year’s Be the Peace Meditation Retreat. Ani Williams was there to play her amazing harp. I met fellow traveler, Gail, and her local friend, Doreen, who have enriched my stay and took me to visit local native ruins.
At Sound Healing Services with Ron D’Amico, where I met a new “lifelong” sister-friend, Marilyn, who is also writing a children’s book. Pilate’s lessons with Rima at Light Body Fitness helped introduce me to my body in a new way.
It was a privilege to do spiritual growth work with Jewels Maloney. She guided me in releasing old patterns and limiting beliefs. Jewels was also our Vortex Guide when my daughter, Amy, came to visit.
In the Village of Oak Creek I experienced amazing healing sessions with Nina Rizzo and Dr. Luc; took a basic Integrated Energy Therapy class with Phoenix and Leon and received beauty care with Lisa at the Holistic Hair Studio.
Last week I drove to Albuquerque to read Corey’s Peaceful Heart to four classes at The International School at Mesa del Sol, and to visit with some of my beautiful cousins there.
I leave here inspired, enriched, grounded and peaceful. On April 1, I will begin my third year of my adventure. I’ll visit dear friends in Texas on the way to visit my family in Pensacola, Florida. On April 24, I will board a plane to Dublin to participate in an Avalon Journey in Ireland and England, with Jewels Maloney as one of the guides. I’ll stay in England on my own for another three weeks before returning to Florida. I will have more time with my family before heading out again in mid-June. I’m not sure of my route, but know it will be an amazing adventure. Thank you for tagging along.
Love and peace,
Judy
Judy, dear Judy! I weep with joy and smile at the rainbow blessings of your journey. As you take flight to the Isles I rejoice. It is a good time to be in Ireland and England. May you experience much love and light.
